Good Evening to Everyone!<\/p>\n

1. Please be advised that due to federal legislation, the SDDA, as a not-for-profit entity having\u00a0passed a revenue milestone, must now charge GST\/HST on all sales. At this time, only run fees and judge application\u00a0fees will remain the same and not have the sales tax added. Any purchases made through the web store will automatically have the appropriate tax by province added to the total. The board apologizes for the short notice, but we have left it as late as possible for this fiscal year. This will take effect as of June 1st, 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Since the SDDA is a national organization, it recognizes that there may be different trial entry processes that work better in different jurisdictions.\u00a0 The Board has considered the matter of trial entry protocols in light of this and arising from questions put forward by members.<\/p>\n

As of June 1, 2022<\/b> and for all trial\u00a0applications going forward in all jurisdictions the entry protocol is as follows.
\nHosts may use any reasonable method for trial entries.\u00a0 This includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n

* first-come-first-served;\u00a0<\/var><\/p>\n

* alternating numbers:<\/var><\/p>\n

* staggered by level; and<\/var><\/p>\n

* lottery.<\/var><\/p>\n

Hosts may continue to give priority entry to trial staff, judges and volunteers if they wish.\u00a0Hosts MAY NOT give entry priority to competitors based on the number of components entered.<\/p>\n

In the interests of transparency and fairness, hosts must clearly and completely set out the trial entry protocol that they intend to use in the premium list with the only\u00a0exception to be the default process of first-come-first-served. If it is not stated in the Premium, it must be\u00a0first-come-first-served and we reserve the right to request entry lists in the case of complaints.<\/p>\n
